Examination Subjects

 Internal evaluation in 1st, 2nd, 3rd & final professional MBBS is as per PMDC and KMU Academic Council Rules & Regulations. A comprehensive annual university examination in all subjects in all professionals, is conducted at the end
 of each academic year. There will be one short essay question on research and development in 1st professional MBBS examination Part 1, and Part II, 2nd professional MBBS, and a full question in the paper of community medicine in 3rd professional MBBS examination. There will be short essay questions on behavioural sciences in various professional examinations. Similarly there will be short essay questions on research and development & behavioural sciences in various BDS professional examinations.

 FIRST PROFESSIONAL MBBS Part-II
 1) Anatomy
 2) Physiology
 3) Biochemistry
 4) Islamic and Pakistan studies.
 
 SECOND PROFESSIONAL
 1) Pharmacology
 2) Forensic Medicine
 3) General pathology, theory & practical/Viva.
 
 THIRD PROFESSIONAL
 1) Special pathology
 2) Community Medicine
 3) Ophthalmology
 4) ENT both theory and practical/Viva.
 
 FINAL PROFESSIONAL
 1) Medicine
 2) Surgery
 3) Gynaecology and Obstetrics
 4) Paediatrics
 
 NOTE: The shifting of Ophthalmology and ENT subjects from final professional to 3rd professional will be applicable to students admitted in the session 2008-09.
