The department of pathology, KGMC, Peshawar trains both undergraduate and postgraduate scholars. Pathology is a broad and complex scientific field that deals with the diagnosis of diseases through examination of organs, tissues, bodily fluids, and whole bodies. At present the main domains in the department are general pathology, chemical pathology, hematology, and histopathology. The department is well equipped with teaching, learning and research facilities in all the four domains at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition to educational activities, qualitative and quantitative analysis of patient specimens including tissues and body fluids are also carried out in our laboratory.
Our faculty has also actively participated in the modification of new curriculum for modular system by KMU.
